"The Best Ever" Challenge - Chocolate Cake Trial 2

Ok - round two.....

Recipe - Chocolate Fudge Cake
Source - this recipe comes care of Sam @ Jettas Nest. Its the recipe she gave for the Handmade Helps recipe book made earlier this year to benefit people effected by the Black Saturday bush fires in Victoria
Notes - This was an easy recipe to follow and was warmly received by the family. It certainly has that fudgy texture and was not too sweet which is a good thing.

Recipe For Your File -

1 tbsp vinegar
1 1/2 cups milk
1 2/3 cups plain flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt (omit if using salted butter)
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups caster sugar
2 eggs
60g butter
1/2 cup oil
1 tsp vanilla

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and grease and line a cake tin with non stick paper.

Add the vinegar to the milk and let it curdle.

Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa into a bowl. dd the remaining ingredients and beat with a mixer for around three minutes.

Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin and bake for 35-40 minutes or until cooked through.
