For a Friend

My friend Tracey is about to have a baby. And she wanted everyone at Crafty Mamas to help celebrate that. She asked us all to participate and make a 61/2 inch by 61/2 inch square for a quilt.

I decided to stitch something as I am not a quilter and I could definitely stitch something. I then wrote on it in fabric marker. I didn't realise until I started writing that the children have pushed too hard on the nibs of my markers so it made them a bit furry....but I am sure Tracey wont mind...I hope so anyway!

Congratulations Tracey and I hope you like my square. It was made with love.

My Heart Literally Just Stopped...

Going a little Crazy Lady...

Ok...go to my last post...look at the comments...one is from my good mate Lisa...the other is from JENNY HART...only the founder and creative director of Texas-based embroidery design company, Sublime Stitching.

Ah hello people...Jenny Hart left a message on MY BLOG..ok yes I'm a little "crazy lady" about this but talk about wow. This woman is a genious.

I went to the local museum here in town and I saw this amazing hand embroidered silk stole and I thought to myself OMG what a lost art..and that I was going to make it my task to bring hand stitching back...and I get this message from Ms Hart....

I'm honoured...really and truely that someone so talented would come across my blog.

I cant wait to review her book! Fingers crossed xx
