Frou Frou for a Friend

After my first custom order to make frou frous for Glenda's grand daughters, another friend of mine Andrea asked me to make one for her daughter who is having a birthday in May.

I was only too happy and heres what came of it.

I hope she likes it!

Tulle Galore!

I offered to make two frou frous for a fellow Crafty Mamas grand babies. They are two sisters who have a joint birthday/naming ceremony coming up in April.

I had a bit of a play with these and have come to the conclusion that a satin ribbon waist and bridal tulle is most definitely the way to go. The bridal tulle is so much softer and will be way more comfortable on the skin. I think it looks better too. But having said that the traditional tulle is very striking in colour and had made a great frou frou.

I hope Glenda loves them!

Chefs Hat

Ok - so now today I finished the last piece for the kindy dress ups - a chefs hat for the home corner.

I think it looks cool - it was a bit tricky but we got there! It does do up[ properly but my model wouldn't stand still!

Frou Frou

I offered to help out a fellow crafty mama and make a couple of frou frous for her grand babies. I did a trial run for Lainey and this is what came out. I think they are super sweet but need a little tweaking....

The Soldier

Another edition to the dress ups....the soldier. This one was easier because it is basically the fabric that portrays the message....but I found some great star buttons which I sewed on.

Fireman, doctor and chefs hats to come....
