This is the first thing I have made with my new machine, and boy does it show that I now use a machine worth 8 times the amount I was using before! I just think it has a better finish. And it does honeycomb stitch which my old machine didnt LOL.
I lined the hood with a heavy faux fur remnant I got for 80c from textile Traders...I still have about 3/4 of a metre left - it was such a bargain...so its super fluffy on the inside - the only problem is it is quite a heavy fabric to use as the lining and makes the jumper a bit top heavy IYKWIM.
I was going to do an applique with the black fabric on the front but it leaves bits everywhere something terrible - kind of like some cord does and I thought one wash and its everywhere.
Anyway - after all that bitching (LOL) its a cool hoody for Lainey and I thought very very easy to sew.
