Just One More...

before I go away for the weekend!

My friend has a birthday coming up and I have no fear posting her present here because I know she wont look at it! She is a teacher and is starting at a new school this year so I thought it would be nice to make her a mug bag. I will also buy her a nice new mug to go into the bag!

The tute comes from Tracy at Mad Quilter and is one of many she has listed. This is a wonderful tute (from a wonderful lady!) that is easy to follow, well written as well as quick and economical. The fat quarter I used cost me 50c at SL and the other items were in my stash so it maybe cost me $1. I made in this in maybe 1 1/2 hours..starting from when I wrote the tute out (no ink in printer) to blogging! Thank you Tracy!

Ok just a quickie before I go off....Mike needed some new boardies for swimming so I knocked these up using the same pattern I used earlier. Jack has a matching pair in the same material! How cute :)

We are off camping this weekend and very much looking forward to it. I hope you all have a safe and fun Australia Day and take a minute to think about this great, free, safe, clean, democratic, wonderful country we are so blessed to have.

Little Nighty Night - Or Something Like It...

OK this is a comedy of errors. I had a hard time with the bodice and found the material I chose frayed really easily So I unpicked and re-cut 2 bodice front and back pieces so it had a facing and then I forgot to sew the straps in the back so its now a halter neck dress. Which isn't my fav for 2 reasons...
1. its no good to wear outside as I am very into slip slop slap; and
2. I dont like Lainey wear a strap around her neck to bed being so young...

But apart from that! Its ok...I just hate throwing things away that I have started so I made the best of it...
