Picnic at Mundaring Weir

Today we took advantage of the not too hot, not too cold/wet weather and took the kids on a lovely picnic to Mundaring Weir. It was a spur of the moment decision and one we are really happy we took. Mikes parents came with us.

We had a bit of a walk over the weir, ate our picnic and played some footy then went to the museum they have which showed the history of the weir and pipeline to Kalgoorlie.

It was a great day. The kids loved it...although dont ask Lainey about the birds. They came looking for scraps when we were eating and frightened her. I take it they are fairly tame and swooped quite close which scared her!
