Business Tie

Ok - here it is I finally got around to sewing Mike a tie for work. I made it using a pattern from You Can Make This called Daddy's Tie.

I used a satin remnant from SL which cost me about 80c. The pattern was about $7 from memory so the first tie cost me lets say $8. The next of course will be less and considering Mikes work ties cost us about $30 it could possibly be a saving! Of course he needs to try it on (he is at work) and I will more than likely have to tweak it (he will want it longer and probably a little fatter) but they are so easy to make - didn't even take an hour.

Oh and I used my walking foot and the tips Tracy gave me and I actually thought it was ok - the only thing I would do diff next time construction wise is probably use a thinner interfacing.
