Today is Remembrance Day. It is to commemorate the end of WW1. Flanders poppies are sold and worn in honour of this day. You can read about it here.

It is an important day. I was most impressed that our local supermarket thought to dim the lights, stop the checkouts and ask for a minute's silence at 11am today.
