Unless you have had your head in the sand for the last 21 months or so you would know today the American elections were held. The winner was Barack Obama who becomes not only the 44th president of the US but the first African American president ever.
I think that is just grand. I think it shows that people power can change all sorts of injustices in the world. I also think it shows that Americans are sick of the war mongering of the Bush administration and did not want to repeat it with McCain.

What a historic day. Now we need to elect an Aboriginal Prime Minister...dont say it cant happen.
